Buying your first home is getting harder and harder for most families, even with higher incomes and larger deposits it can often be a struggle especially if debt is a factor.  Taught by award winning financial adviser Arthur Parker Ramani, graduate from the University of Auckland, Arthur has helped hundreds of Kiwis make smarter decisions financially and helped get many into their first home.Guest speaker Clark Valmont, who specializes in developing affordable housing around Auckland and Waikato will also speak explaining many of the pitfalls he sees with his clients.


UNDERSTANDING ISLAM

The course fee has been waived for this course. For many of us, all we know about Islam is what we hear in the media. Here is your chance to learn more about this rich and old religion. Learn about the prophets of God, the holy book The Qur'an, women in Islam, the concept of life in Islam, the prohibited, science and Islam today.


SMALL ENGINE REPAIRS

Learn how to repair small engines including outboard motors, lawn mowers and motorbikes. Please bring a small engine to be repaired. Class will be practical. Note: In this class you can just focus on the engine(s) which most interest you. Class numbers limited.


BOLLYDANCE - BEGINNERS

Come along and learn Bollywood dance routine with music while you are getting active and fit.
Great way to burn calories, increasing stamina while you dance away.
Fun, enjoyable session, easy to follow routine, just for fun.

 


FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT CLASS FOR NON ATHLETES

Great for winding down, and relaxation, but also strengthening and body balancing. Suitable for all age groups, with less emphasis on intense stretching than yoga. This class is designed for couch potatoes, the athletically challenged, and people stuck behind desks all day using computers.


PROPERTY INVESTMENT ADVICE FOR YOUR FUTURE

LANDSCAPE PAINTING WITH ACRYLICS

This programme is skills based, experiential and focused on the discipline of observation. We shift between 2D and 3D initially to anchor the programme in material reality: when we paint landscape we are engaging with actual landforms, not photographs of the land.


MOSAICS

Come, enjoy a fun and rewarding night out making something for your home or garden you'll be proud of. See students first projects at www.moZaics.co.nz You do not need to be "artistic" to make mosaics. You'll be shown Direct, Indirect and Reverse methods, which glues to use, different cutting techniques.

 

 

 

 


CAKE DECORATING

Learn how to cover and decorate a cake for that special occasion. You will be inspired by the ideas learned here; including piping, moulded blossoms, leaves, flower, drapes and bows. Limited only by your imagination. Materials cost extra.

 

 

 

 

 


PYTHON (PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE)

Let’s begin a new chapter of learning with most in-demand programming languages. A programming language is a formal language which comprises a set of instructions used to produce various kinds of output. Programming languages are used to create programs that implement specific algorithms. Basic computer skill is required.


DATABASE DEVELOPER (SQL DEVELOPER)

One step further to promote your career, business and education. A database is an organised collection of data. Database designers typically organise the data to model aspects of reality in a way that supports processes requiring information. Database administrators use specialised software to store and organise data. Basic computer skill is required. Please bring your own laptop to class.


INDIAN FOOD MADE EASY

Each week covers 7 dishes starting ranging from soup to dessert. You will learn how to cook all time favourites like tandoori chicken, butter chicken, rogan josh, roti, naan etc. Tutor is willing to include any of your favourite dish if not already in the course.


ITALIAN STAGE I

An oral language course (including an introduction to Italian lifestyle and customs), to give you the confidence and ability to converse freely in everyday situations. Tutor is a native Italian speaker. Come along to learn and have some fun.


AEROBIC/LATIN DANCE FITNESS

Fabulous new class on offer that is a fun and energetic fitness experience expressed through Latin type dance moves combined with standard aerobic, step moves.  Latin fitness is transforming a standard cardio work-out into a mix of cardio and dance. No pressure, learn at your own pace – but great fun guaranteed.


JAPANESE STAGE I

An intensive conversation-based course, giving you the ability to converse freely and confidently in everyday situations. A basic introduction to the culture will be included. Mitsuko is a native Japanese speaker with experience in adult teaching.


WOODWORK - BEGINNERS TO INTERMEDIATE

A hands-on practical class.  Work on your own project at your own pace under Paul’s guidance.  All equipment is supplied, however, bring your own materials.  No recycled timer can be used as this may damage school equipment.  Students who have not previously attended this class are required to start a week early for an introduction night to learn about the equipment and to discuss their projects with the tutor.  Class numbers limited.  First night is an introduction to equipment, discussion of project and materials
