Read texts independently and present a developed personal response.

Upon enrolment, students will be given a list of suggested texts.  To successfully complete the course, all students must choose six of these texts to read before the course starts.  It is a requirement that students read all six texts fully before joining the course.  This helps to ensure students are able to complete the course and gain the credits needed.

READING CLASS ONLY

To successfully complete the course, all students must obtain the reading list from mtaghavi@ohs.school.nz . Students must choose six texts to be read fully before the course starts.  Students who wish to respond to a text not on this list, they must receive confirmation that their choice of text is acceptable from the course tutor at mtaghavi@ohs.school.nz

Students must read the instructions on the top of the document carefully. Students will respond to six texts in total – four of these texts MUST be written texts, and two of those four written texts MUST be extended written texts (i.e. novels, biographies, etc.). It is advised that you respond to two extended written texts, two short written texts, and two films.

Students must have read all six texts before the summer school course begins.

NOTE! Students who wish to respond to a text that is NOT on this list, they must inform us in advance by sending an email to mtaghavi@ohs.school.nz and await confirmation from the course tutor that their choice of text is acceptable.

Please note: All courses need a minimum number to go ahead. If your course does not have enough enrolments, we regret that we will have to cancel and will let you know either by email or text. Courses are usually cancelled, when necessary, 1-2 working days prior to the scheduled start date.
