Come along and learn the relaxing and creative art of crochet! Explore how colours and textures can be combined to create unique items of beauty.

This course is perfect for absolute beginners or those who learned some time ago and want a friendly refresher. Lessons will be taught using NZ/Aus/UK terminology and will give you the foundational skills and confidence to start your crochet journey.

Over the course, you will:

• Initially learn and practise the five fundamental stitches: chain stitch, double crochet, half treble, treble, and slip stitch.
• Move on to using the fundamental stitches to increase and decrease, work in the round, make clusters, picots and adjustable rings.
• Discover how to read patterns and understand UK vs US stitch names.
• Complete a series of small, practical projects to build your skills step by step.  You will make dish cloths, an octopus keyring, fancy medallions, granny squares, a toy elephant and Christmas tree decorations.

Crochet is not only a fun and creative hobby, but it can also reduce stress, keep your mind active, and spark inspiration in everyday life.

Note: All initial equipment costs (ie crochet hook and yarn) are included in your course fee.
